Applying for Jobs

Employees can apply for job postings directly from the My Job List.

Click on the Job Posting’s Position Title to open a job posting.

 

The complete job posting details will be displayed.

 

If you have already applied to the job posting, the message You have already applied to this Job Posting will appear at the bottom of the job posting.

Click back to previous page to go back to My Job List if you do not want to apply for the posting.

Click print posting to print the job posting.

Click Apply Online to apply for the job posting online. A person employed at more than one employer that subscribes to Gateway Online, need only apply to a job posting once. All employee numbers will be taken into account in the system’s application process.

The Job Application form will open up.

Position Name – Position name from the job posting.

Posting Number – Posting number from the job posting.

Required Qualifications – Displays the Required Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities and Other Information from the job posting. The qualifications are listed in alphabetical order. Click Click here to view your Talent Profile, to open My Talent Profile form. To update talents, make any required changes in the My Talent Profile form, close the form, and close the job application form. Click Apply Online to open the Job Application form again. It will now reflect your updated talents, unless they require approval.

Required Qualification Icons – Displays the status of matching the position’s qualification to the employee’s talents. The system will compare the qualifications to the applicant’s talent records. The matching of qualifications to talents is dependent upon mapping information existing in the system.

No matching applicant’s active talent record with the qualification.

No talent records are associated with this qualification.

Comments – Enter any comments for the job application. There is a maximum of 2000 characters allowed.

Supporting Documents – Documents such as a resume, cover letter or relevant certificates can be attached.

Disability Declaration – Select Yes or No. The response to this question is mandatory. If the user selects Yes, the following questions are displayed with areas for response, limited to 2000 characters.

• What functions can you not perform?

• What accommodations could be made which allow you to do the work adequately?

Is this a transfer? – Displays only if the affiliation is SEIU. The response to this question is mandatory. This question refers to SEIU Article 11.05 a) ii) Employees may submit a request to transfer to another shift rotation within the master rotation in the same classification and with an equal number of guaranteed hours in his/her work area, department and facility/agency.

Addition Information – Enter any additional comments. There is a maximum of 2000 characters allowed.

Acknowledgement – The selection check box is mandatory.

Click submit to submit the application form.

After clicking submit, a read-only view of the application will display, with a message that the application has been submitted.

 

Submit cancel to return to a blank application form.
